Patriot Update - A Free Press for the Conservative Revolution

So every year I hear about the flu shot and the efforts to encourage more people to get the shot. During college, I worked at a hospital and naturally they were persistent in recommending that we take the shot since we were around sick people all the time. Well, the first year I took the shot I got sick. A little flu, but still, I got sick. They said it was a coincidence and that I must have been getting sick already.

The following year I went ahead and got the shot again. Guess what? I got sick, and worse than the year before. When I went and asked, I was again told that it was a coincidence and that I must have been getting sick already. So dumb me, the third year I went again and got the shot once more. And you guessed it: I got sick. It was the worst flu I have ever had. I was in bed and could hardly move for a week. Never again. Honestly, I believe that if I get the flu shot again it will kill me.

If you’re thinking it was an allergic reaction, here’s my response to that: I think I know the difference between the flu and an allergy; they are totally different symptoms. I understand that “experts” want to say it’s not possible, but when it happens to you, “not possible” doesn’t quite cut it. There’s also a new buzzword going around called “serum sickness,” which is an attempt to explain away why the flu shot gives people the flu. But here’s the bottom line: whatever they want to call it, the flu shot makes some people sick.

So today, while listening to the radio, I heard this year’s flu shot ad come on and how everyone should get it and how it is “impossible to get the flu from the flu shot.” They of course tell you to go to flu.org for the facts and of course the site is filled with things like the “myths” of getting sick from the flu shot. It’s infuriating. I know for a FACT that the flu shot can give you the flu.

It is horrible and incredibly dishonest for our government to suppress the FACT that someone can get the flu from the flu shot and that people should be careful. Yes, I understand that they want the "herd" to be immunized so fewer people get the flu, but a bit more honesty would go a long way towards people trusting you. We need to demand this sort of straightforwardness in our government and in our elected officials.

My advice to you this upcoming flu season is to be careful when getting your shots. If it has made you sick in the past, don’t believe the lies that it won’t this year. Of course if it doesn’t make you sick, great. I’m very happy for you. The best thing for you to understand is that you need to be aware of the medical decisions which are being made for you. Stay informed and ask questions. Your doctor doesn’t know everything and many times they’ve been fed the very same lies from Big Brother, and aren’t aware of the harm they are doing.
