China Replacing America as World Super Power
We’ve all seen and heard the gloom and doom over the past few years. America’s national debt has grown faster than California’s marijuana crop. The dollar has been weakening. Unemployment has increased as has the number of home foreclosures and bankruptcies.

America’s leadership has been steadily undermining the U.S. Constitution and replacing it with one socialist policy after another. Individual freedoms are being stripped away like the leaves of a tree in a Fall wind. Like so many other socialist countries have done, our government is now trying to force us to purchase a product (health insurance) as they continue to take control of one major industry after another.
As America steadily declines in economy and power, who will rise to replace us as the world’s next super power? China!
If you don’t believe me, read this editorial from Peter Allen, a CBS correspondent in London and then weigh the evidence for yourself:
This week, our Prime Minister David Cameron, the key people in his cabinet and 43 of our most important business men and women have all been in China. And why? Well, cause China’s got all the money. Its trade surplus in October alone was $27B. A lot of those dollars came from the U.S. $27B in one month. They kept their currency low. They’ve built an extraordinary economic machine which will enable them to dictate terms to their old rivals like America and Briton and they’ll use that power to, you know. Every Chinese school child has drummed into them the lessons of history. Of the humiliation of the opium wars of the 19th century, which Briton won and China lost. Never again, say the Chinese leaders will we be weak and their winning the war now which matters, the economic one. The evidence is everywhere.
The other day world stock markets fell because China said it was going to reign in bank lending. The price of base metals dropped when China, the world’s top consumer of copper imported less. And it’s not just the markets which provide this evidence. Go into the center of London. Ask the stores where the new customers are coming from. Who is buying everything from designer clothes to antique silver to vintage wine. It’s the Chinese. It seems from where I sit that its China which will soon be the world’s foremost super power, not the U.S.
You’re angry midterm elections just seem to underline the fear that America is losing its grip. As a president elected with such high hopes now finds himself trapped by his opponent’s gains. With an angry people demanding above all jobs and prosperity in a nation swimming in a sea of endless debt. And if President Obama is to be popular again it will be the economy, stupid, which does the trick. And who holds all the economic cards at the moment? Yep, China!
Now we have some experience in this country of being a super power and then watching that supremacy disintegrate. We once had a very large empire, which even included, you. It takes awhile, but when it all starts to unravel its impossible to reverse.
Is Peter Allen right? Is China the up and coming world super power? Has America’s world supremacy unraveled to the point of no return as Allen states?
From what I’ve read and heard from the recent G-20 Summit, it would seem that the Chinese are taking control of the world economy while America is losing its grip. China would not give in to pressure from the U.S. to raise the value of their currency. They vowed to keep it low and didn’t seem to care what anyone else said. Instead of negotiating with the other members of the summit as they have in years past, they stood their ground. Only a country that feels they have the power to control the world economy would make sure a stand.
As a kid, I recall hearing Soviet Premier Nikita Khruschev predict that communism would never defeat America by force, but would do so from within and most likely through our economy. Over 40 years later, his words seem to be coming to fruition.
I wonder what life in America will be like in a few more years as our economy continues to plummet and China fully emerges as the world’s economic super power.
