Election Glitches Expose a System Riddled with Fraud

By: Floyd Brown

Fraud, illegal voters and ballot box stuffing were widespread this election. Voting irregularities are no longer cloistered in the shadow of big city political machines. When the TV commercials go silent and the campaign rallies end, Americans participate in what they believe to be a fair contest of candidates, but serious problems in voting systems make it unlikely that we can still trust the counts.

Floyd learned this in Technicolor when he traveled to Alaska to assist Tea Party candidate for Senate, Joe Miller. We feel confident in asserting that the election in Alaska was stolen by a corrupt Republican establishment bent on maintaining the status quo. Lisa Murkowski, the pork producing Republican incumbent, is the darling of this machine.

First, under the direction of corrupt Republican Lt Governor Craig Campbell, the vote counters in Juneau ignored Alaska's write-in statute, which requires the name to be spelled correctly. This statute states that there will be "no exceptions" and all provisions are "mandatory.” This produced laughable results such as a vote counted for Murkowski as bizarre as “Murcowsh*t.”

The Murkowski write-in ballots underwent a hand count review where spoiled ballots were counted for her –whereas the Miller ballots were counted by machine count--where spoiled ballots don't count. Given past problems with voting machines in Alaska-- the count itself is suspect.

Alaska uses the Diebold counter; these same machines are banned in California due to fraud concerns. In 2006, because of the same problems Miller faces, the Alaska’s Democratic Party filed a law suit.

As in 2006, the Division of Elections (DOE) has refused to turn over the tapes from the Diebold machines so Miller’s team can verify the counts with the precinct registers; Miller has filed suit in state superior court to compel disclosure of these tapes.

Multiple affidavits can be downloaded at joemiller.us alleging huge fraud problems in the election including: the same handwriting for dozens of ballots, stuffed ballot boxes, unauthorized access to ballots and manipulation.

DOE did not provide 24 hour notice, as required by DOE's own manual, of ballot validation; consequently, hundreds of ballots were validated without any Joe Miller representative present. Then DOE abruptly changed the review date of write-in ballots from November 18th to November 11th, much to the disadvantage of the Miller campaign.

Ballots sent out on September 3, 2010, after the primary and after Murkowski conceded, apparently had both Murkowski and Miller printed on the ballots. Military ballots may have been sent late, in violation of federal law. DOE reported that the "first" group went out on the deadline for mailing such ballots but has refused to respond whether additional military ballots were sent after that deadline.

Gold Belt security, a corporation barred from Section 8A Federal Government contracting due to fraud and closely connected with SeaAlaska, a native regional corporation that was one of Murkowski's biggest write-in supporters, was placed in charge of ballot security throughout the general election.

And finally, a number of native precincts had almost 100% Murkowski votes on Election Day-- but their absentee and early ballots from the same precincts-- reflected an entirely different result. This supports evidence of Election Day intimidation in these remote precincts.

To govern, leaders have to garner the respect of the public, but if the public cannot trust the vote totals and the process, then they will never trust the policies of these same leaders. Alaskans, as all Americans, have a right to integrity of elections without fraud.
