Federal Judge Strikes Down ObamaCare Law
The Obama administration’s requirement that most citizens maintain minimum health coverage as part of a broad overhaul of the industry is unconstitutional because it forces people to buy insurance, a federal judge ruled, striking down the linchpin of the president’s plan.
U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson in Richmond, Virginia, said today that the requirement in President Barack Obama’s health-care legislation goes beyond Congress’s powers to regulate interstate commerce. While severing the coverage mandate, Hudson didn’t address other provisions such as expanding Medicaid that are unrelated to it. He didn't order the government to stop work on putting the remainder of the law into effect.

Mississippi Congressman Alan Nunnelee (R) says the first thing Congress must do when the new session begins in January is get control of spending. Still, he hopes the Republican-led House will pass a bill in the first week to repeal ObamaCare. "This is a piece of legislation that The Wall Street Journal has said is 'the worst piece of...legislation ever.' In 225 years of American history, to label it as 'the worst piece of legislation ever,' [that] says a lot," Nunnelee decides.

When Johnny Cash covered the original "I've Been Everywhere" song years ago he boasted of being in Reno, Chicago, Fargo, Minnesota, Buffalo, Toronto, Winslow, Sarasota, Wichita, Tulsa, Ottawa, Oklahoma, Tampa, Panama, Mattawa, La Paloma, Bangor, Baltimore, Salvador, Amarillo, Tocapillo, Baranquilla and Perdilla – and that was in just the first verse. While the campaign to post "Where's the Birth Certificate?" billboards isn't quite as far along as that song, which lists cities and states in three more verses, it's making inroads all across the nation, now appearing in the nation's breadbasket: Kansas.

Obamacare Waivers Prove Policy is a Jobs Killer, Unions Benefit Most
111 companies and organizations were granted waivers by Obama’s Dept. of Health and Human Services so that they could get out of having to comply with Obamacare and unions were particularly well rewarded by the HHS with these waivers. Interestingly, there was no great announcement of these waivers issued to the press. The HHS buried the waiver announcement six layers deep on its webpage and posted them on Friday when they imagined no one would notice. It’s a typical Friday evening document dump so common when an administration wants to avoid the prying eyes of the people. So much for the “most transparent administration in history,” eh?

Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "shaking from fear" about the policies that President Obama will enact toward Israel after this week's midterm elections, a senior Palestinian Authority official told WND. This is the third time in just over a month that the President of the United States has left out the word "Creator" when referring to the unalienable rights granted to Americans in the Declaration. The first incident was at an event for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. The second was at a fundraiser in New York City. The third time occurred this week in Maryland, during a speech before Democratic Senate candidate donors.

White House Takes Credit for Bush-era Wind Farm Jobs
The Obama administration is crediting its anti-recession stimulus plan with creating up to 50,000 jobs on dozens of wind farms, even though many of those wind farms were built before the stimulus money began to flow or even before President Barack Obama was inaugurated. Out of 70 major wind farms that received the $4.4 billion in federal energy grants through the stimulus program, public records show that 11, which received a total of $600 million, erected their wind towers during the Bush administration. And a total of 19 wind farms, which received $1.3 billion, were built before any of the stimulus money was distributed.
